OBS Studio is the most powerful free recorder there is, and it is what live streamers use. It is also a studio: scenes, sources, encoders and settings to learn. Reverie is the opposite trade.

Which to pick
Pick OBS if you stream live, need multi-source scenes, or want total control and do not mind the setup.
Pick Reverie if you want to record, tidy up and send a link in a few minutes without learning a studio.
